ASSASSIN'S CREED BROTHERHOOD

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is a videogame published by Ubisoft for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows and macOS. The game is a continuation of the second chapter of the Assassin's Creed saga. The game is available from November 16, 2010 in the US [2] and from November 18 in Europe (except UK, which was released on November 19) and Australia for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood exceeds twenty-one million of copies sold, even exceeding its biggest rival of the year Red Dead Redemption, of about 5 million. After Call of Duty: Black Ops is the best-selling game of 2010.
The protagonist of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is again Ezio Auditore da Firenze (Florentine ancestor of Desmond Miles), already present in the previous chapter of the series. The game features an innovative multiplayer mode that allows you to impersonate Abstergo agents who train with the Animus, then Templari; the game is based on the city of Rome, in which the protagonist, who emerged victorious from the clash with the Grand Master of the Templar Order Rodrigo Borgia, will have to lead the Confraternity of the Assassins to kill Cesare Borgia.
Plot
The story resumes from where Assassin's Creed II ended: Ezio Auditore escapes from the Vatican with his uncle Mario, immediately after defeating Rodrigo Borgia and entering the crypt, where Minerva sends a message to Desmond Miles, urging him to find all the Temples with the Fruits of Eden before December 21st 2012.
However, the day after the return of Ezio to Monteriggioni, the papal troops led by Cesare Borgia, the son of Rodrigo Borgia, besieged the city. Monteriggioni, along with Villa Auditore, is damaged and Mario is killed by Caesar. Ezio, wounded by three shots of arquebus, flees with the population from a tunnel under the Sanctuary. In search of revenge, Ezio returns to Rome to defeat the Borgias once and for all.
Meanwhile Shaun, Rebecca, Lucy and Desmond arrive in today's Monteriggioni, trying to enter the Sanctuary of Villa Auditore, but they can not get in because the passage is blocked. Once entered through the gallery that Ezio used to escape, Desmond returns to the Animus and returns to access the memories of his Italian ancestor.
What Ezio finds in Rome goes beyond all expectations. The eternal city is surrounded by decay due to the selfish and ruthless politics of the Borgias, which suffocates and ruins the whole city. Therefore, Ezio will have the task of freeing all the areas of Rome oppressed by the Borgias, destroying the towers through which the Pope's family controls the city, thus contributing to the rebirth of the shops and the restoration of important monuments such as the Colosseum or the Pantheon .
After learning of Caterina Sforza, captured by Cesare, from the allied guilds (according to which Caterina would be in Castel Sant'Angelo), Ezio decides to infiltrate the castle with the aim of killing both Rodrigo and Cesare. However, Cesare has already left the castle for the conquest of Urbino, while Rodrigo is not present. Ezio manages to save but Caterina and to lock up Lucrezia Borgia, (sister of Caesar, with whom she has an affair) in the Sforza cell.
While returning to the den, Ezio meets Leonardo Da Vinci, forced to work for Caesar, who designs new weapons in exchange for his help in destroying the war machines designed by him for the Borgias. This task will lead him to carry out missions on the Alban Hills, in Naples, in Valnerina and on Mount Circeo. Ezio decides to break the influence of the Borgias on Rome. Returning to the Covo, Ezio, together with his Grand Master Niccolò Machiavelli, decides to rebuild the Confraternity of the Assassins in Rome. Recruited by the followers, Ezio finds his first target: Juan Borgia the Major, Cesare's banker, who is killed during an event where both Rodrigo and his son are present. After Juan, it is now the turn of the French baron Octavien de Valois, enemy of Bartholomew and Caesar's military ally. Octavien manages to kidnap Bartolomeo's wife, Pantasilea Baglioni, and in a successful attempt to save her, Ezio kills Octavien. Later, he was informed that Pietro Rossi, an actor who Lucrezia Borgia uses as a pawn to jealous Caesar, has with him the key to enter Castel Sant'Angelo, and Ezio wants to recover it, but Cesare intends to kill Peter by sending his assassin Micheletto Corella . Pietro is engaged in a recital of the Passion in the Colosseum, and Micheletto decides to poison the wine that during the performance the man tastes. Ezio infiltrates the actors with his followers, dressed as centurions, and manages to save the actor by taking him to a doctor, and decides to save Micheletto.
After taking from Peter the key to the castle, Ezio, under the advice of Niccolò Machiavelli, goes to definitively kill Caesar and Rodrigo Borgia; the latter, however, is killed by the same Caesar who suffocates him by putting a poisoned apple in his mouth, the same weapon that Rodrigo wanted to use to take away his son. Ezio thus intrudes into the dwelling, where he learns from Lucrezia Borgia, now in shock, the location of the Fruit of Eden (the Courtyard of the Belvedere) and, after taking it, uses it to neutralize the last forces of Cesare Borgia. After a final battle between the Assassins and the last soldiers loyal to Caesar, the latter is arrested by Fabio Orsini on charges of murder and incest. Ezio, consulting the Apple, goes to Viana, where he has the best of Caesar and throws him from the wall, leaving him in the hands of fate. Back in Rome, he hides the Apple of Eden inside a Temple under Santa Maria in Aracoeli, accessible from a secret gallery under the Colosseum: the Temple of Juno. He then continued his position as Grand Master of the Order of Assassins in Rome.
Desmond and the other killers finally know the hideaway of the Apple of Eden, and leave for Rome. The first, therefore, enters the gallery under the Colosseum, leaving it outside at Santa Maria in Aracoeli, where he reunites with his companions. Activated a kind of elevator hidden in the floor, the team enters the Temple of Juno, where they find the Apple. However, as soon as Desmond touches her, the goddess Juno takes control of her body. Desmond can not react and is forced to stab with the hidden blade Lucy, who falls to the ground in a bloodbath, dead. The credits begin, during which you hear the voices of two men who decide to put Desmond in shock inside the Animus, despite the reluctance of the first. Through DLC The Disappearance of Da Vinci, it can be seen that, at some point, one of the two men in question will call the other William, the man to whom Lucy writes, in his e-mails.
