Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege is a first-person tactical shooter video game, focusing primarily on the online multiplayer component. It does not present a story, but small missions to play in single-player. The online includes two game modes: free and classified game. The maps are randomly chosen as the modalities (rescue, blasters and garrison). Developed by Ubisoft of Montreal and published by Ubisoft, the videogame was launched on June 9, 2014 at E3. Anvil Engine engine. Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6: Patriots, which had to be a more classic chapter.
Game mode
The game is structured in Round, each Round will cover a role: Attacker or Defender, depending on the role played there will be Operators to choose designated for that role. The operators have weapons and unique equipment, different from operator to operator. In the game there are over 20 basic Attack and Defense operators plus those that have been added in updates and that will be added in the future, each with their own equipment.
Among the selectable modes are the Simulations and Hunting for Terrorists, to play in single player, or multiplayer mode.
Multiplayer
In multiplayer mode 10 players divided into 2 teams compete in 3 modes: Presidium, Rescue and Blasters.
In "Presidio", the attackers will have to put a "biorischio" container in "safety". To do this they must enter the room containing the container for ten consecutive seconds, without the Defenders being present in the room (in this last case the room will be in contention).
In "Rescue", the attackers must recover a hostage and then escort him outside the building to the point of extraction trying not to hurt him, if it happens will be revived, but if they do it will be their opponents to take care of them. In case of hostage death, the team that killed him loses the round.
In "Blasters", there are two bombs in two different rooms of the map where the attackers will have to converge and then defuse it by a defuse, owned by one of the team members.
All modes are available in two game versions: Free, for "casual players" or Classified for a competitive level. In fact, in addition to obtaining regular fame and experience points, in Classified points are awarded to increase the rank. The higher the rank, the more fame the player will get, and of course, respect. The ranks in total are six, which, with the exception of the last, or the highest achievable, are divided into 4 stages (the platinum degree instead is divided into only 3 stages). The ranks are as follows:
Copper
Bronze
Silver
Gold
Platinum
Diamond
Hunting for terrorists
You can also face the same missions in free or classified playing against AI that will have three possible difficulties (normal, difficult and realistic) that determine the intelligence of the enemy, as the aim, and the amount of these.
The games can be played in a team of 5 players or, for the more adventurous, in single player mode called Lone Wolf.
Outbreak
Outbreak was a limited-time event introduced during Operation Chimera expansion. The event takes place near the city of Truth or Consequences, quarantined after an outbreak of an unknown coral has infected the population and turned it into dangerous monsters. The Rainbow team led by Ash is in charge of intervening and eradicating the threat.
There were three types of missions to deal with in three players: destroying an infected nursery school, saving a doctor who has zero patient information, and finally eradicating the source of the virus. Each mission included multiple sub-levels, which were sequentially unlocked by freeing the map areas from monsters.
Updates
The development phase of the game is divided into Seasons, each season, which are called Operations, new maps are introduced and new players in the game. the seasons last from 2 to 3 months, period in which they are released up to 4 updates, the most important of all is called Half Season Reinforcements, which as you can guess from the name is released mid-season, which unlike other updates beyond correcting bugs adds game mechanics and important news.
